Kolinkivtsi St. Vladimir's Monastery

St Volodymyr's monastery for men stands in the village of Kolinkivtsi, Khotyn district, Chernivtsi region¹. Its beginnings are tied to a native of that same village: Metropolitan Volodymyr (Kantarian) of Chisinau and All Moldova was born in Kolinkivtsi in 1952 and became the monastery's principal benefactor¹. The foundation of the monastery, dedicated to the holy equal-to-the-apostles prince Volodymyr, was laid on 21 August 1997 by three hierarchs - Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) of Kyiv and All Ukraine, the benefactor himself, and Archbishop Onufriy (Berezovskyi) of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna¹.

In that same year the monastery had at its disposal a brothers' block with a house church, fitted out in a converted forestry-service building of 1908¹. As of 1999 the daily services in the monastery were celebrated by the brethren of the Bancheny monastery, and from 2001 an independent monastic life took shape at Kolinkivtsi¹.

St Volodymyr's church, whose foundation was laid in 1997, was consecrated in 2004¹. By Journal No. 9 of 19 June 2014 the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church gave its blessing to adopt and register the statute of the Kolinkivtsi St Volodymyr's monastery for men of the Chernivtsi and Bukovyna eparchy³.

On 3 July 2023 three novices were tonsured to the monastic state in the monastery⁴. The monastery's patronal feast is the day of the holy equal-to-the-apostles great prince Volodymyr, 15 (28) July².
