History:
The male stauropegial metochion of the Sviatohirsk Lavra dedicated to the Vladimir icon of the Mother of God arose in the village of Mykilske, Sloviansk district, Donetsk region, 22 kilometres from the Lavra itself1.
In 2013 the village school there closed. The Lavra took the building under its charge and, at its own expense, began a major overhaul of it1, 2, 3.
That same year a house-church dedicated to the Vladimir icon of the Mother of God was set up in one of the school's rooms - and so this metochion of the Lavra came into being1, 2, 3.
