History:
St. John the Forerunner's male skete of the Odesa eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church stands in the village of Lozove, in the Rozdilne district of the Odesa region1, 2, 3.
It is a canonical division of the Odesa men's monastery in honour of the Iveron icon of the Mother of God2, 3.
The skete was opened by the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on 20 December 2012, by journal no. 98 of its session, on the report of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail about the opening of the Forerunner skete of this monastery in the village of Lozove, in the Rozdilne district of the Odesa region1.
